The Paediatric Neurology department began in I983, when it began a twice a week OP service with around 10 to 12 cases in a day. This OP has grown to 17,901 patients in a year. In 1985, an EEG machine and EMG machine were procured for the department. In I987, the division of Paediatric Neurology was created. In 1997, a Professor post was created for the division of Paediatric Neurology. Administrative sanction was given for the department in 2005. Special rules for Paediatric Neurology were formed in 2008.
